FUN MELA AT JINNAH UNIVERSITY FOR WOMEN

A fun Mela was organized at the Jinnah University For Women at  Saturday, 26 march 2011.
Entrance with a blue and orange bouncy, a marry go round forth the bouncy hustle and bustle of girls, smell of biryani haleem and b.b.q,.so many stalls of different things like eatables, household and interesting stuff for the girls like cosmetics and stitched and unstiched garments..
In the current climate of despair and terror in the hearts and minds of Karachi-ites this event provided not only the students but their families a chance to get their minds off the worries and toils of academic and socio-political life and let themselves loose to say a merry parting note to the short lived spring season.
University canteen was charging 5 rupee extra along with the retail price whereas the stalls arranged from the university were selling the eatables on comparatively low prices

The attractions and entertainment on offer here catered to every age group of ladies present in a huge number, be it the spicy mouthwatering "Gol-Gappy's" or the wide variety of other fast foods available at the food stands; edibles in general were a hot commodity
Interesting thing i found in mela the corridor i heard the babble of chicks!! "10 rupee ka ticket hai beta is choozay ko seedhe raste per chalana hai", said the owner of that racing game endorsing her game

Students were allotted different stalls so that they could express their abilities and hidden talent, these stalls were endowed with games, face painting, handmade jewellery and show-pieces, eatables, and so many hooking activities
Completing the whole carnivalle' experience was the shopping spree, thanks to the variety of clothing and Cosmetic items available at the stands. Women giving in to the temptation carried on with there shopping spree and also tried and experienced first hand the quality of merchandise on display.
A group of girls from department of Mass were wearing same T-shirts with a logo of Juwarians on the back, which actually looked good..
To satisfy the inner child in everyone there were a few wild rides which surprisingly were a huge success.
A girl dressed up as a joker from department of political science also grabbed the attention of majority of the students
A number of media persons were also there to cover this event.

Celebrities like "Raza Haroon" and "Faisal Subzwari"
brought delight and pride to every student.
The provocative debate infused by the Samaa TV anchor about
celebrating the earth hour on request of UN General Secretary
"Han Ki Mon", evoked various interesting & passionate comments
among the attendees.
